Paddy Kehoe of 130 J.K.L Avenue, Carlow, passed away peacefully, at his home, on February 23rd, 2020.

Much loved and missed by Ann and Peter and cherished brother of Micheal, Tom and the late Jim, Neddy, Kathleen, Mamie and Nell.

He will be sadly missed by his loving brothers, nephews and nieces, especially nephews Gary and Joe and nieces Angela and Janice, grandnephews, grandnieces, extended family, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his home (Eircode R93 T2DO) from 2pm on Tuesday with Prayers at 8pm. Removal on Wednesday at 10.30am to The Holy Family Church, Askea, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Carlow.


Lorraine Fitzgerald (née Carey) Askea, Carlow / Borris-in-Ossory, Laois

Lorraine Fitzgerald, Askea, Carlow and also Ballaghmore, Borris-in-Ossory.

Deeply regretted by her loving husband Gavin and son Rían, parents Kevin and Joan Carey, sister Aishling, brother Kevin, grandmother Mary Carey, parents-in-law Matt and Ann, sisters-in-law Niamh and Ciara, uncle Tom, relatives, good neighbours and many friends.

Rest in Peace

Reposing at her parents’ house in Ballaghmore (R32 P2H5) on Thursday evening from 4pm with prayers at 8pm. Private removal on Friday, arriving at St. Lua’s Church, Ballaghmore (R32 AE86) for Funeral Mass at 2pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to The Pallative Care Carlow/Kilkenny.

There will be shuttle buses running from Ballaghmore Church car park to Kevin and Joan’s residence from 3.45 pm today.

Sean Murphy, Castlecountess, Tralee, formerly of Doon, Tralee and Pollerton Little, Carlow.

On February 18th, 2020, late of The Department of Agriculture and oldest member of Austin Stack G.A.A. Club, Tralee. Beloved brother of Áine, Maura, Liam and the late Pádraig, Con, Seamus and Eileen. Sadly missed by his loving family, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, relatives and many friends especially his great friend Tadhg Mc Mahon.

Rest in Peace.

Reposing at The Gleasure Funeral Home, Tralee (V92 VK71) on Friday from 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm. Removal at 6.00 pm to Our Lady & St. Brendan’s Church, Tralee. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 11.00 a.m.

Sean will repose at Carpenter’s Funeral Home Barrack Street, Carlow on Saturday evening from 7.00 pm with prayers at 8.00 p.m. Removal on Sunday morning at 11.30 a.m. to The Holy Family Church, Askea for Mass at 12 noon. Burial immediately afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Carlow.

Patrick (Pat) O’BRIEN

Patrick (Paddy) O’Brien, Basildon, England & formerly Brooklawns, Pollerton, Carlow died February 10th 2020, peacefully after a short illness, borne with dignity and pride. Pat was the much loved husband of Anne (nee Roche) who passed away on 14th February 1996. Leaving behind their 3 children, Lorraine, Malcolm and Emmett, 3 grandchildren Stephen, Christopher and Conor and 3 great grandchildren. In addition he leaves his 2 sisters Frances (Carlow), Madge (Australia) and brother John (Germany).

Funeral Service on Thursday March 5th at 12noon in Pitsea Crematorium.

Flowers to Farrers Funeral Directors, Billericay Essex or donations to Dementia UK.

Carlow Service will follow in June 2020, date to be confirmed.

Beloved wife of the late Michael, much loved mother of Emma and the late Paul and cherished sister of Francis, Lily, Kathleen, Maureen and the late John.

Larry Ryan (former member of The Irish Defence Forces) of “The Shire”, Knockdorish, Kilbride and formerly of St. Patrick’s Avenue, Carlow, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, in his home, on February 7th, 2020,.

Beloved husband of Kathleen, much loved father of Amanda and Nial, adored grandfather of Ella, cherished brother of Pat, Ann, Mary, Peter, Teresa and Michael. Predeceased by his brother John, sister Kathleen, his twin brother baby James and his parents Christina and Peter Ryan.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, daughter, son, granddaughter, Amanda’s partner Ed, Nial’s partner Tina, brothers, sisters, extended family, mother- and father-in-law Bridie and Mick Doyle, relatives and friends.
