Ken Burke. 106 Kevin Barry Avenue, Carlow, August 31st 2021 (suddenly) at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Nancy and by his sister Anne Marie. Sadly missed by his brothers Michael, John, Brendan, Tom and Niall, sisters Mary, Bernadette, Tracy and Sinead, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, relatives and friends.
Rest in Peace.
Funeral Mass for family will be celebrated on Saturday (Sept 4th) afternoon at 3pm in the Church of the Holy Family, Askea, Carlow followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Ted DUGGAN 16 Springdale, Tullow Road, Carlow

Ted Duggan 16 Springdale, Tullow Road, and formerly of Sleaty Road, Graiguecullen, Carlow passed away peacefully on 19th August, 2021 at St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny.


Beloved father of Loreto, Fiona, Catriona, Teddy, Niall, Matthew and Phillip and adored grandfather to his 21 grandchildren and the late Warren.

He will be sadly missed by his loving sons, daughters, wife Kathleen, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, good neighbours and friends, especially his good friend Eamon and nephew Kevin.

Ted’s Funeral Mass (limited to 50 people) will take place on Saturday at 4pm in The Holy Family Church, Askea. Burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Carlow.

Joseph (Joe) Coleman, Pollerton Big, Carlow.

(Retired Irish Life) formerly of Monkland, Athlone, Co Westmeath.  August 17th 2021 at home in his 91st year.

Predeceased by his wife Dolores, daughter Philomena and son-in-law James.  Sadly missed by his loving daughter Majella, son Fergus, daughter-in-law Jackie, grandsons Declan and Sane, great-grandson Patrick, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Sheila Lacey, August 14th 2021 in care of the Sacred Heart Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Walter (Bunty) and much loved mother of Breda, John, Pat, Paul, Eleanor, Tina, Majella, David, Clare and Trevor and predeceased by her sons Michael, Kevin and Walter Jnr. Sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 11.30am in the Cathedral of the Assumption followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Suddenly, following an accident. Beloved daughter of Michael and Patricia and loving sister of David and Aishling. Amanda will be sadly missed by her heartbroken parents, sister, brother, partner Brendan Galvin and the Galvin Family, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, neighbours, friends, work colleagues in Bahrain and all her friends in the GAA Community.

Amanda’s Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday at 2.00p.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Bennekerry, (max. 50 people in church) followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

The family would like to thank you for your support and understanding at this most difficult time.

The funeral cortège will leave Amanda’s home on Thursday at 1.40p.m. en route to the church, those who wish to line the route may do so in a safe and socially distanced manner.

Beloved husband of Anne and much loved father of Olivia and Edwina and adored Ga-ga of Ewan, Ethan and Sebastian, Predeceased by his father Henry. Sadly missed by his loving wife, daughters, mother Bernadette, brothers Harry, John, Frank, Tony, Michael, Brendan, Paddy, Gerry, Aidan and David, sisters Mary and Siobhan, sons-in-law David and Alistair, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Denis (Dinny) Norris of Closh, Tullow Road and formerly McGamhna Road, Carlow, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on August 4th, 2021, at his home.

Beloved husband of Cecilia, dearly loved father of Amanda, adored grandfather of Emma, Bobby, Millie and Sam and cherished brother of Paddy and the late Frank, John, Jim, Kathleen, Mick, Peter and Anne.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, daughter, grandchildren, son-in-law Peter, brother, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
