The death has occurred of Beatrice DUNNE (née Miley), 11 Oakley Park, Tullow Road, Carlow Town, Carlow / Naas, Kildare

Beatrice Dunne died November 19th 2020 (peacefully) surrounded by her loving family at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny; formerly of Naas. Beloved wife of the late John and much loved mother of Marian, Deirdre and Yvonne. Sadly missed by her loving daughters, brothers John and Patrick, sister Veronica, son-in-law Erik, adored granddaughters Michaela and Emma, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Predeceased by her sisters Noeline, Dorothy and Rosemary.

Rest in Peace.

Owing to Government guidelines a private Funeral Mass will be celebrated on (Monday) morning at 11am in The Church of the Holy Family, Askea followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Carlow.


Leslie MAY, 136 New Oak Estate, Carlow

The death has occurred of Leslie MAY, 136 New Oak Estate, Carlow

Leslie May of 136 New Oak Estate, and formerly of Brownshill Road, Carlow, passed away peacefully, on December 9th, 2020, at his home.

Beloved husband of the late Kathleen and much loved father of Diana, Lesley, David, Kelly, Alan and Shane.

He will be sadly missed by his loving sons, daughters, grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family and large circle of friends.

Due to HSE and Government guidelines, Leslie’s Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday for his family and close friends, in The Holy Family Church, Askea, at 2p.m and will be followed by burial in St Mary’s Cemetery, Carlow.


Catherine (Kathleen) FALLON (née Mulligan), Carlow / Dysart, Roscommon

The death has occurred of Catherine (Kathleen) FALLON (née Mulligan), Carlow / Dysart, Roscommon

Catherine (Kathleen) Fallon (née Mulligan) formerly of Carrenterriff, Dysart, Co. Roscommon, Zimbabwe and Green Road, Carlow, died on 8th December 2020 in the kind and gentle care of Eileen and staff of Beechwood Nursing Home, Leighlinbridge.

Beloved wife of the late Willie and much-loved mother of Kevin, the late William (Willo), Annmarie, Siobhán and Michael. Adored Granny to Rory, Liam, Aisling, Kieran, Oisín, Conor and Nicholas. Deeply regretted by her sister Bridie (Bristol), sons-in-law Don and Gerry, daughters-in-law Iona and Sarah Jane, sisters-in-law Kathleen and Lizzie, brother-in-law Eamonn, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May Kathleen’s gentle soul Rest in peace.

The death has occurred of Rose DOYLE, 5 St. Patrick`s Avenue, Carlow Town, Carlow

Rose Doyle, died December 2nd 2020 suddenly at her home. Predeceased by her husband Johnny, infant son Noel and grand-daughter Aishling. Sadly missed by her daughters Angela, Teresa, Mary, Valerie and Susan, sons John and Anthony, sons-in-law Michael, Pat and Noel, daughter-in-law Lorraine, John’s partner Pauline, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, relatives and friends.

May Rose Rest in Peace

Owing to Government guidelines a private funeral will take place. The reception service on Sunday evening at 7pm can be viewed along with the funeral Mass (max 25) on (Monday) afternoon at 2pm from the Church of the Holy Family, Askea.  Burial will follow the funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Carlow.


The death has occurred of Derek HUTTON, 465 Pollerton Big, Pollerton, Carlow

Derek Hutton, died December 2nd 2020 (suddenly) at his home aged 42 years. Most cherished youngest son of John (Jack) and Margaret. Sadly missed by his heartbroken parents, brothers Gary and Shane, their partners Chiara and Jackie, uncles James, Michael and Pat, aunts Marcella, Maureen and Winnie, nephews and nieces Emma, Sean, Cate, Ruairí, Daragh and Neasa, cousins, relatives and friends.

The death has occurred of Michael ABBEY, 32 Green Road, Carlow Town, Carlow

Michael Abbey died December 2nd 2020 (peacefully) at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny, following a short illness. Former Councillor Carlow Town and County Councils. Dearly loved husband of Bridie and adored father of Michelle, Sharon, Karl and Denise and predeceased by his daughter Baby Karen. Sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughters, brother Tony, sister Anne, son-in-law Barry, Denise’s partner Columba, grandchildren Eoin, Kate, Emily, Conor, Finn and Clara, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends
