Seamus Kennedy, “Lancaster”, Pollerton Big, Carlow, passed away peacefully, at his home, on July 10th, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved Husband of the Late Eileen & Loving Father of the Late Brian. Much loved father of Elizabeth, Helen, Jimmy, Margaret, adored Grandfather of Paddy, Paul, Gary, Keith and Connor, cherished Great Grandfather of Jessica. Paul’s wife Kate & extended family and friends.

Beloved brother of the late Nancy, Bernie, Liam and Michael. Deeply mourned by his loving Sisters, Molly, Clare, Betty. Sisters-in-law Shelia, Nelly and Josie.

He will be sadly missed by his loving, Son, Daughters, Grandchildren, Great grandchild, Sisters, Sons-in-law Mark and Pat, Nephews, Nieces, Relatives and extended Relatives and Friends.

May Seamus Rest In Peace.

Reposing at his home in Pollerton Big (R93V1D6) from 2pm on Thursday with Prayers at 9pm. House Private Friday Morning. Removal from there on Friday at 10.30am to the Holy Family Church, Askea, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Carlow.


Jim Whelan 14 Springfield Drive, Rathnapish, Carlow

Jim Whelan of 14 Springfield Drive, Rathnapish, Carlow, passed away on July 7th, 2019 at Waterford University Hospital.

Beloved partner of Ann, much loved father of Terese and Michael, adored grandfather of Damien, Fiách, Michael, Rachel, Jack, Sean, Aíne, Brian, Sarah and Niamh and predeceased by his late wife Mai.

He will be sadly missed by his loving partner, son, daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law Deirdre, brother George, sisters Mai and Annette, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Carpenter Bros. Funeral Home, Barrack St., Carlow from 4p.m on Tuesday with Prayers at 8p.m. Removal on Wednesday morning at 9.45a.m to the Cathedral of the Assumption Carlow for Funeral Mass at 10 am. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Carlow.

Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to The Holy Angels Day Care Centre.

Daniel (Danny) PENDER

and formerly of Ardnehue, Bennekerry, Carlow. Peacefully in the loving care of the District Hospital Carlow, surrounded by his loving family. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Eileen, sons Kevin and Christopher (Germany), brothers Frank and David, sisters Eileen, Catherine, Collette and Philomena, predeceased by his sister Maura, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his sister Catherine’s home, Ardenhue, Bennekerry (R93 E0 P8) on Sunday from 2 p.m. concluding with prayers at 8 p.m. Removal on Monday at 1.30 p.m. to St. Mary’s Church, Bennekerry, arriving for Requiem Mass at 2 p.m. Burial immediately afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

The death has occured of Johnny Harmon, Link Road, Brownshill, Carlow, who passed away peacefully on July 4th, 2019, surrounded by his loving family, at St. James’ Hospital, Dublin.

Beloved husband of Carmel, much loved father of Seamus, Katie and Tracey and adored Grandfather of Corey, Shad and Ty.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughters, grandchildren,great-grandchild Freddie, brothers, sisters, sisters-in-laws, brothers-in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives and his many friends.

Reposing at his home (Eircode R93P522) on Sunday 7th July from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass on Monday at 11am in St. Mary’s Church, Bennekerry. Followed by burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Lily McBrearty died July 4th 2019 (unexpectedly) at her home, beloved wife of the late P.J. and much loved mother of Debbie and Patrick. Sadly missed by her heartbroken daughter, son, brothers Jimmy and Ollie, sisters Bridget, Geraldine, Monica and Patricia, son-in-law Michael, daughter-in-law Pamela, grandchildren Michael (Prince), Sarah, Amie, Abaigh, and Molly, niece Jackie, cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends

Funeral arriving at the Church of the Holy Family, Askea on Saturday evening for 7pm. Funeral Mass on Sunday at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
