Patrick (Paddy) Moore of 38 Highfield, Dublin Road, Carlow and formerly of Dublin, passed away peacefully, in the presence of his loving wife, on May 27th, 2021, in The District Hospital, Carlow.

Beloved husband of May.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, brothers-in-law Mick and Jimmy, sister-in-law Delia, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Paddy (Pat) Lyons of Dereen Heights, Tullow Road, Carlow passed away peacefully, at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on May 22nd, 2021.

Beloved husband of Brigid, dearly loved father of Melitta, Patrick and Jason and much loved grandfather of Josh and Evie. Pre deceased by his parents Tom and Maureen and brother Johnny.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughter, grandchildren, brothers Eddie, Tommy, Jimmy, Michael, Richard, Christy and Paul, sisters Margaret, Mary, Ann and Monica, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Frances (Frandie) BYRNE

Frandie Byrne, (née Cox) Woodgrove, Tullow Road and formerly of Church Street, Graiguecullen, Carlow, May 21st 2021, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny. Beloved wife of the late Eddie Byrne and predeceased by her brother Eddie Cox. Sadly missed by her sisters Patricia (Kennedy) and Clare (Ralph), brother-in-law Ger, sisters-in-law Bernie and Kathleen, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, extended family, relatives and friends.

Rose PAYNE, 69 St Killian’s Crescent and formerly of Talbot Terrace, Carlow

Rose Payne, 69 St. Killian’s Crescent and formerly of Talbot Terrace, Carlow died May 13th 2021 (suddenly) at her home. Predeceased by her parents James and Mary, sister Brenda and brother Seamus. Sadly missed by her brothers Br. Patrick and Tommy, sisters Mary, Imelda, Frances and Lucia, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.

Owing to the government restrictions the funeral Mass will be private and confined to family (max 50) at 11.15am on Saturday morning. Burial will follow afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery.


Nancy Anna Elizabeth O’Brien (née Foley) Pollerton, Carlow / Tullow, Co Carlow

Nancy Anna Elizabeth O’Brien (née Foley), Oak Hill, Carlow and formerly of Rathmore, Tullow, Co. Carlow – 6th May 2021 peacefully in the loving care of the staff of SignaCare, Killerig; predeceased by her husband Jerry, grandson Stuart and partner Danny (Heart), brothers and sisters; sadly missed by her son Gerald, daughters Janet, Debbie, Thrish, Linda and Joanne, son-in-law, grandchildren, brother, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In line with Government and HSE guidelines regarding public gatherings, a private funeral for family and close friends will take place. Removal from Halligan’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Rathvilly on Monday at 11.30am to St. Patrick’s Church, Rathvilly arriving for 12 noon Requiem Mass followed by cremation in The Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross at 2.30pm.


Mark HAYDEN Tinryland, Carlow / Blanchardstown, Dublin

Mark Hayden of Blanchardstown, Dublin and formerly Tinryland, Carlow, passed away, on May 4th, 2021, following a tragic accident.

He will be sadly missed by his loving mother Barbara, father Pat, step-father Peter, brother Lynn, sisters Ursula and Patricia, brothers-in-law, uncle, aunt, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives and friends.

Due to government advice regarding public gatherings a private funeral will take place for family in St Joesph’s Church, Tinryland, on Saturday at 11am and will be followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

James (Seamus) Pender, Rainstown, Palatine, Carlow, May 2nd 2021 (suddenly) at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny. Sadly missed by his sisters Peg and Attracta, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Tony Madigan, B.Agr.Sc., Beechwood Park, Carlow passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on May 1st, 2021, at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin. Beloved husband of Bernie, much loved father of Marie, Denise, Andrew and Clare, adored Grandad of Laura, Eve, Clodagh, Kate, Síofra and baby angel Tiarnan, cherished brother of Margaret and PJ. Predeceased by his dear parents Denis and Mary-Anne and his sister Maureen. Tony will be sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughters, granddaughters, sons-in-law Pádraig and Ciarán, brother, sister, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, extended family and friends.
