Harry Kehoe (Retired Teagasc) formerly of Rathvilly, died May 29th at home. Sadly missed by his loving wife Maura, sons James, Martin, Henry and Anthony, daughter Sandra, daughters-in-law Lilia, Anne-Marie and Una, son-in-law Ronan, grandchildren Laura, Aoife, Ciara, Martin, Harry, Charlie, Louis and Brian, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends

Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home Pollerton Castle, Carlow on Friday from 4pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Removal on Saturday morning to the Church of the Holy Family, Askea to arrive for funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery.


Anne Moran (née Gilmartin) Kearney’s Lane, Pollerton Big, Carlow / Glenade, Leitrim

Anne Moran

Wife of the late Paul. Deeply regretted by her loving son Paul, daughter Marie, sisters Philomena, Teresa and Margaret, son-in-law Pat, Paul’s partner Claire, brothers-in-law, grandchildren Ciara and Liam, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Rest in Peace

Reposing at her residence (Eir Code R93 Y019) from 4pm on Wednesday, until the conclusion of prayers, which begin at 8pm. Removal by Rigney’s Funeral Directors on Thursday morning, to arrive at the Holy Family Church, Askea, Carlow for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Kilberry Cemetery, Athy.

Liam HENDRICKEN Grangeford, Bennekerry, Carlow

Liam passed away peacefully in the loving care of Sonas Nursing Home Tullow on Sunday 26th May 2019. Beloved husband of Clare and Dear father of Anne, Mary, Pauline, Terri, Liam, Kieran, Carmel, Eithne, John and Kevin, grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.

Reposing at his son John’s residence Grangeford (R 93 HO F4) from 12 noon on Tuesday 28th May with removal to St. Mary’s Church, Bennekerry at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass on Wednesday 29th May at 11 a.m. Burial immediately afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Michael (Hair-oil) Whelan died peacefully at the Sacred Heart Hospital after 23 years of loving care, in his 87th year. Predeceased by his daughter Elizabeth. Sadly missed by his wife Philly, sons Ger and Pat, daughter Julie, sister Marie, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Harry O’Brien, Retired Teagasc, formerly of Ballincollig, Cork died (suddenly) at University Hospital, Waterford. Beloved husband of Madeleine and much loved father of Claire, Delphine and Xavier. Sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughters, brother, sister, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren Daniel, Emma, Naomi, Liliane, Rhys and Aoife, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Brendan R Hayden of Springfield Drive and formerly of Tinryland, Carlow, passed away unexpectedly at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny, on May 20th, 2019. Predeceased by his beloved son Martin. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Breeda, children Joe, Ann, Brendan, Olivia, Colm and Marion, brother Pat, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, kind neighbours and friends.

Alice Harkin née Curran, formerly of Rathmines, Dublin and originally of Chaplestown, Carlow died May 12th 2019 in the loving care of Hillview Nursing Home, Carlow. Predeceased by her husband Peter. Margaret Fitzpatrick, (née Lowry) of Pollerton Big and formerly of Ballylennon, Palatine, Carlow, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at home, on May 9th, 2019.

Beloved wife of the late Billy, much loved mother of Marie, Elizabeth, Anna, Monica, John, Rita and the late William and cherished sister of Anne, Mary, Murt, Jimmy and the late Johnny, Peter, Paddy, Lil and Mick.

She will be sadly missed by her loving son, daughters, her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, good neighbours and her many friends.

Patrick (Pat) HEALY Pollerton Castle, Carlow

Patrick (Pat) Healy Funeral Director, Pollerton Castle, Carlow died in the loving care of the District Hospital following a short illness in his 80th year. Reunited with his dearly missed sons Conor and Niall. Lovingly remembered by his devoted wife Cora, children Niamh, Eoin, Aideen and Rory, adored sister Helen, son-in-law John, grandchildren Stephen, Grace and Ann, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, grand-nephew, grand-niece, cousins, relatives and good friends.

Reposing in his funeral home at Pollerton Castle, Carlow on Thursday evening from 6pm with prayers at 8pm. Reposing from 2pm on Friday followed by removal at 6.45pm to the Church of the Holy Family, Askea to arrive for 7pm. Funeral Mass will take place in the Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow on Saturday morning at 10am. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
