Margo Brophy, died suddenly at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny. Dearly loved wife of Cormac and much loved mother of Colin. Sadly missed by her heartbroken husband, son, sisters Anne, Phil and Marie, daughter-in-law, granddaughter Abbie, brothers-in-law Anto, Amby and Paddy, family friend Pat, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home, Pollerton Castle from 3pm on Wednesday followed by removal at 6.30pm to St. Joseph’s Church, Tinryland to arrive for 7pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Margaret (Peg) KIRWAN (née O’Neill) Green Lane, Carlow

Margaret (Peggy) Kirwan, (née O’Neill) of Green Lane, Carlow and formerly of Ballycormack and Slyguf, Co. Carlow, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on February 18th, 2018, at Signature Care Nursing Home, Killerig, Co. Carlow.

Beloved Wife of the late Paddy and much loved mother of Mary, Pat, Michael, Eugene, Carmel, Anne and Margaret.

She will be sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Mairee MADDOCK (née O’Donovan) Iona Drive, Rathnapish, Carlow

Mairee Maddock, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Mater Private Hospital, Dublin. Beloved wife of Liam and much loved mother of Gillian and Ken. Sadly missed by her loving husband, daughter, son, sister Pauline, brothers John and Michael, son-in-law Ray, daughter-in-law Annemarie, grandchildren Luke and Lara, sisters-in-law Jo and Mary, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

At the Sacred Heart Hospital, Carlow. Deeply regretted by her sons Willie and Kevin, daughters-in-law Kathleen and Pearl, sister Margaret, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing in McGuill’s Funeral Home, Bennekerry, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday, from 4 p.m. on Thursday with removal at 6.30 p.m. to St. Mary’s Church, Bennekerry arriving for Reception Prayers at 7 p.m. Funeral after 11 a.m. Mass on Friday to adjoining cemetery. Donations, if desired, to Sacred Heart Hospital, Carlow.

Josie SHANNON (née Kinsella) Beechwood Drive, Rathnapish, Carlow / Oylegate, Wexford

Josie Shannon died February 6th 2018 (unexpectedly) at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny, in her 95th year, formerly of Coolamain, Oylegate, Co. Wexford.

Widow of Peter and much loved mother of Tony, Jo, Pat and the late Alice and adored Nana of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sadly missed by her loving sons, daughter, son-in-law John, daughters-in-law Sylvia and Joanna, sister-in-law Bridget, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Rest in Peace.

Reposing at her home on Thursday from 3pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Friday at 11am in the Church of the Holy Family, Askea. Burial afterwards in Oylegate Cemetery, Co. Wexford arriving at 2pm approx.

Fergal O’Connor (Detective Garda), Slate Quarries, Rathmore, Naas, Co. Kildare and formerly of Carrowglin, Brownshill, Carlow – 5th February 2018 peacefully at St. Brigid’s Hospice, Moore Abbey; Deeply regretted by his loving wife Pamela, children Ciara, Niamh, Tom, Sam and Mikey, parents Tom and Nora, parents-in-law Paddy and Pauline (Cullen), sisters Sharon and Derbhla, brother-in-law Tommy, extended family, relatives and friends.

Kathleen McGarry, (nee Murphy), died peacefully at home after a short illness.

Beloved wife of the late Brendan and much loved mother of Caroline, Brendan and Brian. Sadly missed by her heartbroken sons, daughter, brothers, sisters, grandchildren Adam, Gavin, Stella, Jody and Jake, Brian’s partner Emma, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her home from 5pm on Saturday. Removal on Sunday morning to the Cathedral of the Assumption to arrive for Funeral Mass at 12.30pm. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Joseph Walsh (Former Station Master), 60 Highfield, Dublin Road, Carlow passed away peacefully on February 2nd, 2018, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny. Beloved husband of the late Kathy and much loved father of Paul and the late Deirdre. He will be sadly missed by his loving son, grandchildren M.J, Róisin and Tasha, son-in-law Martin, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
