Ash Wednesday takes place on Wednesday 10th February. Blessed ashes will be distributed at 9.30am and 7pm Mass in Holy Family Church, Askea, at 9.30am Mass in St Mary’s Church, Bennekerry and at 9.30am Mass in St Joseph’s Church, Tinryland.
Tuesday 2nd February is designated Candlemas Day. If you wish to have a candle blessed please mark it with your name and leave it on the table provided at the altar. The candles will be blessed before Mass on Monday.
On Wednesday 3rd February we celebrate the Feast of St Blaize. Throats will be blessed after 9.30am Mass in Askea Church.
The Students from the local National Schools will make St Brigid’s Crosses during the week. These will be available in the Church at all Masses on 28th and 29th January. Donation to charity
